The solution we delivered
- The project required development of intelligent BIM with LOD 300 from PDF files for a National Eye Hospital in Australia. A team of modelers and BIM experts was deployed to execute this project of a complex nature.
- Project commenced with detailed examination of PDF files received as input.
- These PDF files were used to convert project data into intelligent BIM.
- BIM for architectural, structural and MEP disciplines were developed using Revit.
- Models were examined for clashes. A lot of clashes were detected and reported for mitigation.
- Once the clashes were resolved, the models were iterated and a clash free BIM was developed.
- Further the models were developed with quantity take offs and project completion schedules, a comprehensive approach was adopted to implement higher collaboration in the project.
- Prime emphasis was given towards auditing and improvisation to ensure that the model was as per international quality standards.
- The models underwent a multilayered quality check before they were handed over to the client.
Outcome & benefits
- The project was completed within 45 days, and at the end of this time frame, all the clashes were resolved.
- If these clashes had been left undetected, this would have led to huge losses at the time of actual construction.
- BIM based, material take-offs & project completion schedules helped client streamline the processes and hence reduce the overall cost and time for construction.

Our BIM modelling services approach
BIM modelling services from a drafting-first firm behave differently from render-first ones: the model is built for coordination, documentation and quantities, with geometry that is dimensionally honest because drawings will be cut from it. We model architecture, structure and MEP disciplines in Revit against an agreed BIM execution plan, maintain worksets and naming discipline that keep multi-author models manageable, and run interference checks as modelling proceeds rather than as a post-hoc audit.
Engagement models that work
Clients use us three ways: full modelling scope where they have no BIM capability, overflow capacity into their existing templates and standards when their team is saturated, and model uplift where a design model needs to reach a contractual LOD the original authors never planned for. In every mode the deliverable includes the model, the documentation cut from it, and a QA summary — because a model without evidence of its accuracy is just geometry.
If your project or practice needs BIM capacity — one building or a program of them — send the brief and the BIM execution plan if one exists, and we will scope the modelling with LOD, disciplines and delivery schedule stated plainly.
Model handover discipline matters as much as modelling quality: we deliver with worksets organised, links documented, and a model maintenance note covering how to extend the file without degrading it. Clients who have inherited chaotic models from previous consultants recognise the difference immediately — a well-structured model stays useful for the building’s life, while a chaotic one gets quietly abandoned within a year.
Standards compliance runs beneath all of it: models aligned to the project BIM execution plan, naming to the agreed convention, and classification data populated where the client’s asset systems will consume it downstream. BIM that ignores the information half of the acronym is just 3D CAD with extra steps.
